The Dota Underlords open beta is available right now. Valve\u2019s new game, which is itself a spin-off from the popular Dota Auto Chessgame mode, is available through PC on Steam, as well as mobile versions on both Android and iOS.<\/p>\n
For the uninitiated, Dota Underlords is a strategic battler in which players recruit a team of Dota units, building teams with which to take on other players in vaguely chess-like matches. It sounds perfectly suited to mobile, to be honest, and full cross-platform multiplayer is in.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
Access to Dota Underlords is completely open, there\u2019s no sign-ups or lotteries or anything, so the game is basically out now. It\u2019s had an Early Access tag slapped across it on PC, but you know the score.<\/p>\n
If you\u2019re interested in giving Dota Underloads a shot then just download it on Steam, or you can find it on the iOS store here and the Google Play store here. <\/p>\n
<\/ins><\/p>\nIt\u2019s early days but Dota Underlords appears to be off with a bit of a bang. It\u2019s currently at a peak of 146,762 concurrent players, and that number is only rising. It\u2019s already the fourth most popular game on Steam, although this likely includes mobile players as it requires a Steam login for online play. Still, it\u2019s a mighty impressive start compared to Artifact, and we expect this figure to climb sky-high over the weekend. The early reviews aren\u2019t too shabby either, notching up an overall rating of \u2018Very Positive\u2019 at this early stage.<\/p>\n

I\u2019ll be honest, I\u2019ve never touched Auto Chess in my life. Like an absolute animal I\u2019ve given this a download on Android though as I\u2019m keen to give it a whirl and see what the fuss is all about.<\/p>\n
