Avoiding March and April definitely sounds like the sensible option, what with the looming shadow of Cyberpunk 2077.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cVampire The Masquerade: Bloodlines 2 will launch later in 2020 than we planned. Simply put, we believe quality is more important than releasing in Q1,\u201d <\/em>wrote developer Hardsuit Labs in a brief statement on Twitter.<\/p>\n<p>In a lengthy blog post, Hardsuit\u2019s Andy Kipling and Brian Mitsoda went into plenty more detail on the circumstances surrounding the delay. In a nutshell, they\u2019re aware the original Bloodlines launched in a rough, buggy state and they don\u2019t want to repeat those exact same mistakes.<\/p>\n<p><ins class=\"adsbygoogle scrolling-ad-item\" data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-0052787453283862\" data-ad-slot=\"2741061911\"><\/ins><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cThere are some things we wanted to hit under all circumstances when we set out to follow in Bloodlines\u2019 footsteps: A deep, branching storyline; fascinating and amazingly acted characters; the rich universe of the World of Darkness. We firmly believe that we\u2019re on the right track to get you all of this.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cOn the flip side, there\u2019s the responsibility to avoid some of the issues that plagued the first game, which was famously launched too early. Over the last few months, it became clear that to stick to our original date would risk repeating that mistake. We won\u2019t do that. In the end, everyone working on this game wants to offer you the best Bloodlines 2 we can.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">\n<p>Not ideal then but, in the context of the fact WE\u2019RE ACTUALLY GETTING A VAMPIRE BLOODLINES SEQUEL, it\u2019s really not so bad. I still have to pinch myself every time I remember this is actually happening so a small delay is just a drop in the ocean.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>On a purely selfish note, it makes my gaming plans much easier.
