Revealed via a series of job postings, the Nvidia Lightspeed studios will be dedicated to unlocking the full potential of its GeForce RTX graphics cards in some of the most beloved PC games of all time.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cWe\u2019re cherry-picking some of the greatest titles from the past decades and bringing them into the ray tracing age,\u201d<\/em> writes Nvidia.\u00a0<em>\u201cThus, we\u2019ll be giving them state-of-the-art visuals while keeping the gameplay that made them great. The NVIDIA Lightspeed Studios team is picking up the challenge starting with a title that you know and love but we can\u2019t talk about here.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>We\u2019ve often wondered about the idea of the likes of Nvidia making hardware-exclusive games, and while this isn\u2019t strictly that, it\u2019s nevertheless a step in that direction.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>This was no doubt this was spurred on by the attention which Quake II RTX generated, and we\u2019re also set to receive a Minecraft RTX update at some point next year. It\u2019s really quite startling how much better these old games can look with dramatically improved lighting effects, so we have to say we\u2019re all for breathing new life into classic PC titles.<\/p>\n<p><ins class=\"adsbygoogle scrolling-ad-item\" data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-0052787453283862\" data-ad-slot=\"2741061911\"><\/ins><\/p>\n<p>The unfortunate part is we\u2019ve no idea just what the heck these could be. On a personal level I\u2019d love to see the hard-hitting duo of Deus Ex and Half-Life given the RTX treatment, although it\u2019s probably far more likely Nvidia will be looking at Doom and Unreal, more traditional graphical showcases.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">\n<p>With Nvidia confirming its working with some of the greatest titles from the past few decades, and implementing top-tier ray-tracing effects along the way, which games do you believe could stand to benefit the most?<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Quake II Can I Run It?
