It\u2019s taken almost a year for cloud save support to roll out and Borderlands 3 is one of the biggest launches to support the new feature. And, well, it\u2019s not going too well.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>A large number of users are reporting that Borderlands 3\u2019s cloud save feature is fundamentally broken. There\u2019s confusion over whether Borderlands 3 pulls in local or cloud save data, incorrect dates and times being provided, and some have even lost all of their progress entirely.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>Some users have lost hours upon hours of progress due to the bug, while others have said they\u2019ve even chose to save locally and ignore the cloud features, only to lose progress the next time they log on.<\/p>\n<p>Whatever\u2019s happened here, it\u2019s all stemming from conflicts, both in terms of local save conflicts and cloud saves. The Epic Games client is getting mixed up somewhere along the line, whether that\u2019s conflicting save times, failed uploads, failure to provide conflict alerts, or whatever the heck is going on.<\/p>\n<p><ins class=\"adsbygoogle scrolling-ad-item\" data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-0052787453283862\" data-ad-slot=\"2741061911\"><\/ins><\/p>\n<p><em>&#8220;We understand just how frustrating this situation is for those who have been affected, so we\u2019re working with our partners at Epic to monitor the situation and ensure the issue gets fully resolved,&#8221; <\/em>said a 2K representative in a statement. <em>&#8220;We\u2019re listening closely to our community and players, and will continue to do all we can to ensure the best experience possible for everyone.\u201d\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Some form of hotfix was quickly deployed yesterday evening, although it\u2019s unclear whether this has entirely fixed the problem. Judging from this statement today, it would appear Borderlands 3 cloud save issues are an ongoing problem. If you\u2019ve got BL3 on PC then make save back-ups, if you can, or just sit it out and wait for the problem to (hopefully) be fixed shortly. I have to say though, if I lost 10 hours of progress to a cloud save bug on Epic\u2019s end I\u2019d be asking for a refund quicker than you can say \u2018Randy Pitchford loves squirting magic tricks\u2019.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>So, has anybody here been unfortunate enough to get on the wrong end of Borderlands 3\u2019s borked cloud save system?
